About Me
I am a trauma-certified, licensed clinical psychologist who values working with late adolescents and adults. I enjoy working with anyone who wants to learn more about themselves and is craving more meaningful and satisfying relationships. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, as well as specialized training in working with the impacts of traumatic experiences, eating disorders/body image concerns, and relationship issues. I also have special interests in college adjustment, social anxiety, identity development, emotional distress (including suicidal ideation), and attachment-related difficulties.
Prior to private practice, I have provided therapy in a variety of settings including community mental health, college counseling, and forensic settings. My view of therapy tends to be relationally-oriented, meaning that I pay particular attention to the importance of current and past relationships and how relationships may impact the view of the self. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process and strongly believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship in helping to build more fulfilling connections.
I completed my doctoral degree at Antioch University New England in Keene, New Hampshire. My pre-doctoral internship training was at APA-accredited Southern Illinois University’s Counseling and Psychological Services Center where I specialized in eating disorders and trauma. I completed my post-doctoral residency at Duquesne University’s Counseling and Well-being Center.
